The Department offers a Ph.D. degree and an M.A. degree in philosophy. The Ph.D. Program prepares students to enter the profession as scholars and teachers. The M.A. Program prepares students for further graduate study in philosophy, as well as in other areas. It is available to all students who have a serious interest in philosophy beyond the B.A.
